~PRICING & OTHER IMPORTANT STUFF~
I don't have a set price list. The cost for a portrait will depend on these factors:
* your preferred size and painting surface;
* the number of pets to be included;
* how complicated you want the clothing and background to be; and (most importantly)
* the quality of your reference photos.
If the photos are not ideal, it will be a lot more time-consuming for me to paint the portrait. The price must then reflect the extra hours needed to complete the work. So keep in mind that the better your reference photos, the less expensive the portrait will be.
Only after we have discussed every aspect of the job will I be able to provide you with a price quote. In general, however, my custom pet portraits cost anywhere between $80 and $250 (in US dollars).
If the price quote is okay with you, I'll ask for a 50% deposit (payable by PayPal) which will secure your position on my waiting list, and also enable me to purchase the necessary raw materials if I don't already have them in stock.
Your order will be filled as soon as possible, but it might take a while depending on my current workload. I often have a very long waiting list, especially before Christmas. So if you'd like to commission a portrait as a gift for somebody else, please plan ahead to avoid disappointment.
When the portrait is finished, I'll e-mail a picture for your approval. Minor changes are possible at this point, but rarely requested. (Most of my customers are absolutely delighted with their portraits on first viewing.)
The balance of payment is due upon final approval, and your painting will be shipped the following day.
In the unlikely event that you aren't completely satisfied with your pet portrait, you may cancel the order before paying the balance due. Your deposit will be refunded, minus whatever amount was spent on raw materials specifically for your job (if any). And I reserve the right to sell the portrait of your pet(s) to somebody else, as compensation for my many hours of labour.
